The "Alau" exhibition in Almaty showed about 80 works — more than forty of them by Ali Baktygereev himself, the rest by his students and young prize-winning artists from international and national competitions. "Alau" is a group show, but as the publication noted, "the works of Ali Baktygereev make up the main part of the exhibition, so this can be considered a kind of the master's first solo show."
