The IZDER IV "Perishte Izi" ("Angel's Trace") exhibition opened at the Kasteyev State Museum of Arts — a project marking the 70th birthday of artist Zhumakyn Kairambayev, built around the image of the horse as a symbol of nomadic culture. Ali Baktygereev was among the 21 artists of different generations who took part.

The "Alau" exhibition in Almaty showed about 80 works — more than forty of them by Ali Baktygereev himself, the rest by his students and young prize-winning artists from international and national competitions. "Alau" is a group show, but as the publication noted, "the works of Ali Baktygereev make up the main part of the exhibition, so this can be considered a kind of first solo show for the master."
